Description:
Portico Workforce Housing works to transform the lives of single men struggling with homelessness in our Tampa community, in the Name of Christ, by providing an affordable housing option to single men who are actively working. Tenants are expected to contribute with chores, meet with a resource coordinator weekly, and and have a banking relationship, saving part of paycheck to go towards obtaining future traditional housing.

Intake Process:

We take referrals from our partnering churches, businesses and agencies. If you are a member of a partner church, please ask your church to send us a Partner Referral Request. Once we have received the referral we will provide you with an intake application.
After your intake interview and your references have called in, we will talk with you about matching your needs with resources from Love INC, your referring partner or church, and the community. The relationship we have with each person will look different and is based on need.

Eligibility:
Tenants must have a job and be able to meet weekly with a resource coordinator. We do not tolerate no drugs, alcohol or guests. All tenants must contribute to chores, and have a banking relationship, saving part of paycheck to go towards obtaining future traditional housing.
The Portico staff inspect the property weekly, collect rents and interface with our tenants, we are aware of possible support needs early in our relationship. The Portico staff is available for spiritual and emotional support. Love INC is intentionally relational, looking for multiple opportunities to âlove onâ our tenants. We offer tenants classes to help them transform their lives, including budgeting/financial management, life skills and more.
