The ARC is a 24-hour short-term Respite Shelter with a total of 30 slots available and the minimum length of stay is between three (3) to ten (10) days. The facility will offer groups such as 12-step, skills training and co-occuring groups. The staff at the facility will provide supervision of self medication. Connecting you with the appropriate after-care services, such as linkages to outpatient substance abuse treatment, mental health treatment and any other support services needed to ensure success in the community. You will be provided with three meals a day, a place to sleep and the use of laundry, bathroom and shower facilities. Also, you will receive assistance from a case manager who will help you in the development of an Individualized Success/Prevention Plan. During your short stay at the ARC, a case manager is available to help link you with community resources and services. Locating appropriate and affordable housing or placement options if you do not have appropriate housing upon admission into the ARC.

Intake Process:

A preliminary pre-screening is conducted to determine whether the referral is appropriate. This preliminary screening consists of obtaining the individual's demographic and background information, level of intoxication, type of drug and/or alcohol use, along with general information from the referrals source.

18 years of age or older, under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and/or history, at risk for incarceration due to public intoxication, ambulatory. Both males and females will be accepted. Must be referred and transported by law enforcement or EMS. Exclusion criteria: Individuals who are extremely intoxicated requiring medical intervention, individuals who are a danger/threat to themselves or others, individuals who meet criteria for the Marchman Act, walk-ins, individuals who have been convicted of a sexual offense. or individuals unable to care for self.
